Moon clips are designed to be loaded and unloaded by hand without the use of special tools. When the moon clips are new the first round is the hardest to get out, (Winchester brass fits the tightest).
- Standard full moon clips for your Model 1917 revolver, from both Colt and S&W chambered in .45 ACP.
- Also fits S&W revolver models 22, 25, 26, 625, 325 and the Governor.
- These moon clips are 0.040″ thick and have proven to be compatible with almost every brand of brass both commercial and military. There might be something these won’t work with, but we haven’t found it yet.
Our moon clips were designed for the shooter who wants to be able to use moon clips without having special moon clip tools. We wanted .45 ACP moon clips for the rest of us who love the gun but hate the moon clips. Some competitors use these low-cost moon clips once and discard them so that they’re not dropping an $8 EDM moon clip on the ground. That being said, if you are a competitor you may not like them, and they weren’t designed with the competitor in mind.
